Vegan Jackfruit BBQ “Pulled Pork”

Ingredients :
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 (12 ounce) can jackfruit
drained and shredded
⅔ cup chopped onion
¾ teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup barbecue sauce (such as Sweet Baby Ray’s®)
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper (Optional)
salt to taste
Methods :
Heat oil in a saute pan over medium-high heat. Add jackfruit, onion, and garlic powder. Saute, stirring frequently, until brown, 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in barbecue sauce. Reduce heat and let simmer until thickened, about 10 minutes. Season with black pepper, cayenne, and salt.
